Biography

Long-term blog addict living in Brighton, England.

Born (1988) and raised (1988 - 2006) in Shrewsbury (also England), where I was responsible for around 50% of the Belle Vue and Radbrook local paper deliveries from 2002 - 2005.

Took a short job in a cafe when 15 which ended in my hand being scalded when I fell up a set of stairs carrrying pots of tea.

Had a brief and impossibly unsuccessful run in double glazing cold calling which ended in a fat Welsh druggie (the manager) shouting and swearing at me when he'd had a parrticularly bad week.

Those were the highlights. Now onto the rest:

Studied Maths, Further Maths, Computing, Physics and Electronics at college. Feel reasonably confident I came away with more passes than fails.

Went on to study Theoretical Physics with Applied Mathematics at the University of Birmingham. Reasonably confident that after years of research I came away with a sound knowledge of the corrrelation between student debt and alcoholism. Oh and Selly Oak smells.

Did some care and mental health support work, in day centres, retirement homes, hospitals, special units and vocational care settings. Also was a support worker across Shropshire, driving several hundred miles a week to enable vulnerable adults to achieve their goals. If their goal was Morrisons.

Went on a month long European driving excursion through France, Germany, Italy, Austria and Switzerland in 2010. Saw a cow on a trailer being driven through the Alps, don't really remember much else.

After a short visit to Brighton for a holiday, decided to move down in September 2010. Since moving to the area, I have lived in 3 different places through 5 different jobs. Some more interesting than others. The project I worked at was probably the most exciting. Was working alone when an annoyed ex-service user decided to try to burn the building down. Oh yes.

Now I am learning how to code, write websites and apps, speak German (and a few others) all the while enjoying life and seeing as much of it as possible. Stick around if you want to find out more.
